Discover São Vicente, known as the most welcoming and attractive island in the country. Embark on a beautiful one-hour ferry trip to Santo Antão, enjoy breathtaking views of Paúl Volcano Crater above 1000 meters high, and explore one of the most beautiful villages in the world, Fontainhas.

Day 1: Arrival in São Vicente - Airport Transfer to Mindelo – Hotel check-in

After disembarking, head to the main exit and meet Your professional guide who will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name. Then, enjoy a private transfer from Cesária Évora International Airport to your accommodation in Mindelo. Our team will also take you from door to door with complete security and professionalism, providing all relevant information about your stay.

Day 2: Full-day discovery of Santo Antão from São Vicente

Explore Santo Antão's highlights on this full-day tour from your accommodation in São Vicente. Enjoy your morning transfer to Mindelo harbor and start your 1-hour ferry trip to Porto Novo in Santo Antão. After arrival, drive through the mountains until you reach Cape Verde's largest volcanic crater, Cova de Paúl.

There, have a panoramic view of the extinct volcano above 1000 meters in height and enjoy breathtaking landscapes of the immense and green round plain inside of the crater used as agricultural fields. After that, head to Delgadin, a perfect mountaintop to admire the natural towers carved in the valley of Ribeira da Torre.

Arrive in Povoacão, one of the main cities of Santo Antão, and proceed to Ribeira da Torre with many banana trees, fruits, and vegetables along the route. Then, head to the charming coastal village of Ponta de Sol and meet the local fishermen with their small traditional boats.

Next, drive to the picturesque village of Fontainhas, one of the 10 villages with the best view in the world according to National Geographic. Take a break for a delicious lunch in a local setting and then head to Cape Verde's greenest valley, Vale de Paúl. There, delight in a peaceful and authentic Cape Verde atmosphere, surrounded by thatched-roof houses and an incredible green color of the agricultural fields.

Visit a distillery and taste the famous local rum called “Grogue”.

Finally, explore Sinagoga, an extinct Jewish village that still preserves its essence. Take your ferry back to São Vicente and the tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation in Mindelo.

Day 3: Full-day São Vicente Island Experience with a Local Guide

Get picked up from your accommodation and depart towards Mindelo city center. Explore Mindelo, the capital of the island, known as the most welcoming and attractive city in the country. Visit its church, municipal market, and enjoy a panoramic view of the capital from the top of Fortin. The tour will continue along the Avenida Marginal to Praia da Bote to the African market, where the first community was established.

Then, drive to the eastern part of the island where animals, endemic plants, and farmland can be seen along the green Calhau Valley until the fishing village of Salamansa. Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Next, visit the village of Baía das Gatas and take a stroll through its shallow lagoons and then move on to the white sand dunes by the sea.

Drive to Monte Verde Natural Park, admire the stunning landscape of the entire island, and take beautiful photos of other Cape Verde islands. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation.

Day 4: Checkout, Transfer Out, and Goodbye Cabo Verde

Get picked up at your accommodation in Mindelo and depart toward Cesária Évora international airport. Take your international flight back and say goodbye longing for "La Morabeza Crioula"!!!
